Dropped off by Martin at George's apartment is a small, neatly wrapped package, addressed to Sebastian.
The note on top is written on fine paper, in a elegant, flowing hand.
"The world breaks everyone and afterward many are stronger at the broken places" - Ernest Hemingway
A little something from my personal collection that I thought you might appreciate.
May this gift help to lead you through the dark times, and out into the light once more. And if it succeeds in bringing a smile to your face, then my job is done.
And remember the words of Winston Churchill - if you're going through Hell, keep going.
- Gabriel
P.S. Let me know if you want a friendly ear. I'm no Voice of God, but I'll do my best to listen.
Enclosed in the package is a copy of a first edition hardback of Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being Earnest'. Written on the inside of the cover is the following: "If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all." It is signed by the man himself.
There is also a DVD.
